Phoenix winter league 2012/13

Please find below details of our latest league.

After taking the views of our players at the recent meetings we have decided to implement a couple of changes from how the leagues are run.
Firstly, we will be scrapping the individual bonus leagues so there will be no more averages, weekly winners or loyalty league. Instead we will reward loyalty by giving 100 chips every time you play, these chips will be added to the chips won in the usual fashion.
For the final freeroll, in the final the top 80 will be invited back to play but there will be no other places allowed. If those 80 players can't make it no chips will be allowed to be carried forward to or from previous leagues.
The final night will now be moved to a Saturday and start at 4pm we will also play the final out on the night instead of returning on the Sunday and we will no longer allow players to buy up to the chip leader, in future the only extra chips you will be allowed to purchase will be 5000 for £25
The league will start on Thursday 29th Nov and end on Wed 27th Feb The final will be on Sat 9th March
As usual we will deduct 5% from all league games to build a pool For the final freeroll

The Phoenix Cash Race

We are pleased to announce details of our new Cash Race. 

Wed 14^th November - Thursday 31^st January.

Every time you sit and play on any cash table at the Phoenix you will be logged on and earn 5 points per minute. Those points will be recorded and regular updates put out so you can track your progress. Your points will directly equate to chips which you will have for the freeroll at the end of the league -  however you must achieve a minimum of 10,000 points to qualify.

Every pot we have which is £20 or over will have a £1 taken out to form a Prizepool for the Cash Race.

 

20% of the Prizepool will be used to generate seats in our monthly £100 game – they will be given to the top players in the league, the rest of the cash will be played for on Tuesday 5^th February.

Players will start earning when they sit down and continue to get chips until they cash out, although adjustments will be made if anyone sits out for a long time.

Earn Double Points on Tuesday nights when we hope to get a variety of games running.

JOKER POKER

This new sensation has arrived on the cash tables at the club and is proving very popular. It's Holdem with 2 Jokers shuffled in. The Jokers are Wild which creates some big hands, especially when they land on the flop. It's sure to be a big part of the new Cash Race at the club. Look out for more details on here later, including Double Points night on Tuesdays.

We will be holding a ten seater satellite to this game on Tuesday 16^th Oct at 7pm

Entry will £100 and the winner will get a seat in the Bristol UKIPT (worth £770) and £230 for expenses – there is no cash alternative

First ten people to pay will get the seat

Satellite format will be 20,000 chips with a 30 min clock

Summer League

Phoenix Summer League
We are pleased to announce the following details for our  new summer league
The league will run from Thursday 31st May until Wed 29th August
as per other leagues there will be a 5% deduction from all scheduled league games
			Main final
chips won during the league will be taken to the final
as usual players will be allowed to buy up to the chip leaders stack
at a cost of £5 per thousand
the top 60 will play the final on Friday 31st august at 7pm
and as usual play down to a final table of ten players who will return on sun 2nd sept
at 2pm to resume the play , blind levels will be wound back to ensure plenty of play
			Bonus Final
this final will be made up of the following
top ten in the league
top ten averages
top ten loyalty players
13 weekly winners
chips for this bonus final will be earnt the following way
for the top 10 in the league,averages and loyalty. players will receive the following
1st	20000 chips		6th	6000 chips
2nd	15000 chips		7th	5000 chips
3rd	12500 chips		8th	4000 chips
4th	10000 chips		9th	3000 chips
5th	7500 chips		10th	2500 chips
For the weekly winners they will receive 10,000 chips
and an additional 5000 chips if they win a 2nd week
all accumulated chips will then be carried forward to the bonus final
which will be on Tuesday 11th Sept at 6pm

in addition to the above we will also we giving out prizes  to the top 3 players in each of

Malta deepstack open

as most of you know
Next Saturday (26th) at 2pm we will be playing host to the pokerdogs Uk
who will be running a satellite to the Malta open deepstack in Oct
entry into this game is £60 (no fees) with a 40,000 starting stack and a 30 min clock
all you have to do is beat 10 players to get your seat
its played as a ten seater stt and then the two table winners play heads up for the package , which includes flight,accommodation and entry into the malta deepstack  which is an expected prize fund of £100k
that game is  50 min clock with a starting stack of 50,000 chips  and pays out the top 15% unlike most comps where its only the top 10%
our game will be capped at a maximum of 40 runners on a  first come first served basis

New Spring league

We are pleased to announce details of our new league
Guaranteed £5000 Prizepool for the main final
And 4 Poker packages for other winners
Running from Thursday 1st March until Wed 30th may
As per previous leagues a 5% deduction will be taken from all scheduled league games
		Main final
Chips won during the league will be taken to the final
as usual players will be allowed to buy up to the chip leaders stack
at a cost of £5 per thousand
This game will have a £5,000 gtd prizepool
the top 60 will play the final on Friday 8th June at 7pm
and again as usual play down to a final table of 9
those 9 will return on Sunday 10th June at 2pm to resume play
Blind levels for the final 9 will be wound back to give more play
		Poker Packages
it has always been our intention to send Phoenix players to
some of the bigger games up and down the country
so we will be awarding 4 packages to the value of £500 each
to be taken at any UK event of the winners choice , for the following
		Weekly winners final
		Loyalty Final
		Top averages final
		Top of the league final
Weekly winners - the 13 weekly winners will qualify with 10,000 chips (extra 5k if aready qualified)
those players will sit down for a final with the winner walking away with a Poker Package
Loyalty winners - the ten players who play the most games will have a play off
again the winner getting a poker package
Top averages - the top ten averages  will sit down and play for another package
to get an average, players must play a min13 times and at least once a week in 10 of the 13 weeks
top of the League final - the top ten in the league will also have their own final
and once again the winner takes away another package
chips  for the loyalty ,averages and top of the league finals will be awarded
in the following manner

We are please to announce that the Phoenix club is getting a new final table

But not just any final table – this one will have cameras attached to it and will be streamed live on our website !!!!

We have all seen the pro`s play with their hole cards visible – well now its our turn to be the stars

The table will be seated in the VIP/snooker room and it uses the latest Rfid technology where there are hidden chips in the cards to display the hole cards with percentage chance of winning a hand a hand displayed

This will be streamed live every night on our website so even if you aren’t at the club that night ,then you can still keep up with the action ,plus we will be installing a live chat facility to commentate on what you are seeing

The table will be fitted next Tuesday and launched with a Bounty game on Sat 3^rd March at 4pm

Buy in for this game will be £50 for 15,000 chips and £25 for the bounty , we will allow re registration up to the break and at the break you can buy an add on of 20,000 chips for £25 , anyone sat down for the first hand will also receive 2500 extra chips

We will run satellites to this game on this fri,sun and next Friday  also possible is taking prize money out of any game up to then to give a seat to the winner (subject to players approval)
